I replaced a pretty dated pc that desperately needed to be updated, and couldn't be happier. After having a pretty bad experience with an old Asus RoG laptop due to constant heating concerns I was pretty skeptical to get another, but decided to give Acer a chance. The thing runs almost completely silently and you can only barely audibly hear it when its under a heavy load. So far I haven't thrown a game at it in max settings that it hasn't breezed through with temps hovering around 75-80 C for both CPU and GPU, and that's without the extra fan inserted into the drive bay. For comparisons sake, my old Asus would regularly hit 110-120 pretty easily even with older games, and then would just shut itself down.The speakers on here sound pretty great for a laptop, though the front facing speakers took a while to get used to. Its just got a neat kind of surround sound kind of system going that reverberates a little, something I wasn't at all used to in a laptop. Beyond that, the thing can get REALLY loud, like, fill the room with sound and I have to turn it down if I have other people in the room or it just drowns them out haha. The only real objective complaint I have is that if you're doing something like typing on the keyboard while listening to music, your arms can pretty easily block the speakers and it just sounds mumbled and washed out. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning.The keyboard feels pretty good for a laptop, and is easy to type on. Its still a chicklet type and isn't going to blow you away like a standard mechanical keyboard might, but its fine. 'Fine' is probably the best word to describe it. The touch pad on the other hand feels cheap and not particularly accurate. It works well enough for internet searching and such, but I'd really recommend a mouse for anything more intensive.The screen seems about as good as I expected, no obvious pixels that are frozen or worse. Not much to say other than it looks fantastic for a 1920 x 1080 screen. After reading some reviews all across different laptop screens I was afraid that I was likely to get a faulty one, not the case here, at least for me.The lights along the keyboard, the touchpad, and the back of the laptop case are a nice touch that make the deal feel fairly premium, a small thing that was a nice surprise.The only con I can think of is something I've read a couple times in other reviews on other versions of the predator laptop, the bottom edge where you rest your arms to type is angled pretty sharply with no cushioning. If you're in for a long gaming session or need to type up a document for a couple hours its pretty easy to get some pains where the edge hits your arm. I've had to just find ways of getting above that edge to avoid this, but it is kind of annoying.All in all, its been a fantasic experience so far. Thumbs up to Acer.  Read Less
