The silicon oven mitts is particularly versatile. It grips really well because of the lines even with the smooth round steel handles of pans. It definitely makes it a lot easier to retrieve my ladle that often drops into a boiling pot of water. You need a tool to push it up and then use the oven mitt to grab it.There isn’t much point to the orange clamp with these mitts. Their usage is only limited to plates or anything similar. You can’t use them with bowls because of their roundness. You need an especially strong grip if you want to carry heavy plates or else the clamp will open up and the plate will slip out.  Read Less
