First off, the fan is SUPER quiet compared to most others I have seen or used in my other fireplace, and it does it while moving lots of air. Many fireplaces have 110v built in underneath and if so you're set. Especially if you can find a way to turn the unit on and off with your fireplace switch (there are many but be CAREFUL with electricity, many fireplaces don't run their switches on 110V and you can fry things).The user interface on the controls is great and the instructions are good and written in readable English, which i don't often see with stuff like this on amazon (often from chinese brands). The company seems to have LOTS of experience in fans for computers, grow rooms, etc. The only thing lacking in the instructions is guidance on mounting options for the temp probe (in the fireplace, out of it, set in a wall switch, etc. I plan to mount sticking out of a small hole next to the switch to turn my fireplace on.There are 2 Things that would make this a 6 star product for me:1 - Put a Millivolt switch into the housing to turn millivolt fireplaces on and off. That way you could walk up, turn the fireplace on, and adjust fan settings all at once. Also, you could have the fan turn on and off with the fireplace easily without 2 switches2 - This is a big one for me. They need to do one or more of the following: Move the cable plugins to the back of the panel, have two options for plugins (back or bottom), sell a mounting template to hide the wires/plugs hanging out of the bottom, or even make a wireless panel. If you look at their controller 2 or 8 models that they sell they sell templates and stands. I HATE wires showing and I cable manage everything in my life and it takes away from what would otherwise be a really sleek control panel. i plan to design and 3d print a mounting box for mine and route the cables through the wall. I'll post pics when I get around to it.I am taking off a star for the lack of cable routing options on the panel. If i can't make a box I will end up mounting it underneath the fireplace and keeping the whole shebang hidden away Read Less
