This was a concern after reading a comment about another product that wasn't as tall, and was blocked by the rails.

Was concerned the magnet may not be strong enough to hold it securely in place at highway speeds.

As indicated selected flash pattern comes right back on each time when you flip the power switch.

Light was actually bigger than i had expected, nice well made cord, light itself was made better and functions better than what i'd had expected, great light, excellent quality , which you'll notice right out of the box , excellent light patterns , no problem at all with light intensity, you'll be seen day or night , the 4 inch would prob had worked just fine after seeing this light function.
