    Using the obd port is much better than the 12v ciggerette lighter port as in some modern cars when the key is not in the ignition this port will be isolated so wont take any charge

    I have left the car for periods of up to one month which would normally drain the battery and it starts first time on return

    Please note that like any solar panel chargers if the car is indoor or cannot receive enough solar light it could discharge your battery instead of charging it

    A quick google search to find where the vehicles obd socket is plugged it in and away it went
