I was soooo happy to find this print cartridge that listed compatible for my very very old hewlett packard black and white laser printer hp2200 series

Yes it is compatible and the print is very dark and i was happy that i didnt get the initial smudges even with the very first paper coming out to print

It talks about removing a seal if there is one with an illustration of a clip

I pulled the clip and out came a long strand of white film with black specks

I snipped it off although i didnt know how much of the white film i was supposed to pull out or even if i was supposed to pull out white film at all and popped it into my printer
