These budget thermal pads seem to do a good job of reducing peak temperatures of nvme
Also being a pc enthusiast i immediately thought of these thermal pads for heat management
The average vrm temps were also about 5 degrees cooler according to hwinfo64
I installed a samsung evo 500gb nvme in my dell g5 and it was running very hot during heavy load testing 74°c

It went from 8590 degrees at full load to 7580 degrees full load

Tested by appying to 2 equal sized heatsinks and placing 1 sink fin side down on hot plate other sink rapidly grew hot despite no direct connection to heat plate

I figured that it would be better to place a thicker transfer pad under the heat shield and perhaps one under the nvme as well

After this was accomplished i tested the temperature after the laptop booted up and idled for 20 min and then stress tested it

Idle after 20 minutes was running at 35°c prior to modification it was idling at 43°c
