Chances are the cf card part will still be a problem as it is not designed as well as it could be for cf card usage the only reason i didnt return it was that it works fine for my sd and micro sd cards but being a professional photographer and having several 16 gig cfcards to download after each wedding i may still have some difficulty with a couple of the pins bending because of the design of the cf card reader part either the pins are too long or it is not deep enough to have the card guided down in further before it comes in contact with the pins

The cord does not come loose from the usb port so i am raising the star rating
