It only responds to me blowing in on the bottom or tapping it. It has an audio mode we were trying and we were watching the polar express and the plasma ball exploded. Returning as defective for a refund.
After less than a month of operation, the ball now only faintly glows with fuzzy streamers that don't even reach the glass unless you touch it. Much to my suprise glass is breakable.
They need a much safer, better made ac adapter. Didn't come with the adapter.
