Have not tried the flash yet but looks like when folded back it will not cause a dark spot

However after i removed the lens hood to clean the lens and hood i had difficulty reattaching it and to date it is still not attached

Ive put it on my nikon p900 when needed but it will fit any 67mm lens thread

Since i use this hood when shooting more at the zoom end its not a problem but it would be if you were shooting wide

I attached an optech rainsleeve to it to fully protect my camera
