Pros & Cons

The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

The joint is hard to find. First picture is what i had to work with and second picture is proof that they ceal correctly and they hold. Just strip your wire, insert them into each end until your stripped parts overlap, & hit it with the heat gun.

Cons

Kit is too small to many small size fittings like 18 and smaller. One side of the connector is 1/2 the opening size of the opposite side. Largest items missing from the box which was still sealed in plastic. Not worth the money will not buy again.

The plastic tends to melt and deform way before the solder does. Before they seal around the wire, the material starts to look like it is melting, and discolors, looking burnt. Getting the solder to melt with a heat gun takes a lot of heat.

The heat shrink jacket doesn't shrink much. A regular soldered splice covered by a heat shrink cover seems better. The joint can be pulled too leave wire sized holes in the solder.
