I removed all center caps and cleaned them with soap and water then removed the remaining adhesive wasn’t much on them probably why they fell off not stolen then wiped center with goo gone and gently scraped off any remaining glue washing them again drying them thoroughly i cheated and used a hair dryer and then carefully center the emblem and press hard while warm

I had 3 of them installed a couple of months ago and they are all still in place so the adhesive appears to be quite good

They fit perfectly on our 2002 passat and you cannot tell the replacements from the originals

Peeled the cover off the sticky backing of the new vw logos

Then carefully centered the new logo and pressed it in place before the hot glue cooled
