Pros & Cons

The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

Tegaderm has excellent adherence, and is waterproof. It is a bit difficult to loosen an edge in order to remove it, but i'd rather have that than having it fall off. Its also makes the patch waterproof so it is an added advantage.

Cons

The needle implants the cánula but doesn’t retract and the whole sensor needs to be removed. These folks need to rotate their stock better.

Quality

I bought various sizes and am very pleased with the product

Its a quality product and also used at our local hospital

We were looking for the tegaderm 6 x 8

I cant speak to quality of adhesion after 24 hours

Price

I like the price compared to pharmacies

Packaging/appearance

We also used a non adhesive gauze pad to keep the tegaderm from directly sticking to the sutures

I like the tegaderm without gauze as i may use a bandaid first then place the tegaderm over for extra protection

Place the medication and covering on the wound and carefully take off the tegaderm backing

Competitiveness

I had an area that needed coverage for 6 weeks and used a band aid covered with tegaderm

Tried other brands nothing works like 3m tegaderm patches

But when you cover your pain patch with a tegaderm transparent dressing it will remain in place for the full allotted time

Ok dont know if its the bandage or the humans fault but these do capture a good amount of fluid but they will leak eventually also they will leak if the entire stick down area is not dry before applying

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It has to be dry and clean and ready for the bandage to stick

Hard to do sometimes when you are dealing with a semiconscious patient who is leaking huge amounts of fluid around their ports
