Pros & Cons
Pros
The space mouse allows you to pan, tilt, zoom, and rotate with one hand. It also gives you the ability to rotate smoothly about an axis.
This is a pretty specific review, geared specifically for the people who are considering this for the secondlife community. Very sturdy build and a very reliable product. Worth every penny.
Product is great for manipulating the 3d model in the sketchup program. Also great in photoshop. Works straight out of the box with blender 2.
The bottom has some really nice anti slip spongy material that does a great job of gripping the desk surface. It has a rubber footing that prevents it from sliding around.
Cons
The rubber grip liquified and turned to glue. Another concern is that linux support is dismal. High quality hardware, low quality support.
For a product aimed squarely at professionals, this is inexcusable. Dconnexion should wither up and sprout green fuzzy mold for the sheer shame of it. Used once.
Highlights
Quality

I want to drive my car and brush my teeth with the thing
I have not used the product 100
Moving around in a 3d environment with the mouse and maybe keyboard becomes a total chore
