Prior to ordering the hose i had emailed a question of compatibility but received no response so went ahead and ordered the hose

After receiving the hose it was determined that the adapter was needed which was forwarded to me but with no instructions that the hose end handle needed to be removed for the installation of the adapter

After several more emails with photos and phone calls did it become apparent that the handle disassembly and insertion of the adapter completed the compatibility issue

Finally this hose is 35 feet long while the beam hose was 30 feet long which was about two feet too short to reach a particular corner in the house

This hose does not tend to kink like the previous hose did

That one had a thick fabric protective sheath on it which made it heavy and which i believe caused it to kink and pinch off the air flow

The cantilevered handle on the previous hose flexed and eventually developed a fatigue crack at the sharp corner of the switch opening stress concentration point and the handle broke off

Only piece of advice is to buy a sock for this they cost around 30
