Took this on a boy scout camp out to replace my bulky halogen flashlight the light did not extend as far as the halogen but the crispness and coverage it did provide was superior to the halogen

It illuminated a wider area and took up less space in my gear though was heavier being all metal other flashlight was plastic and falling apart

Only complaint is having to cycle through the settings with one button would rather the flashing setting be another switch or button and not have to cycle through to switch off

Much small that i anticipated but has 3 brightness modes and a strobe mode which is rather cool
