I couldn't find much detail on this twowin mycnc stepper assembly but for the economical price of the complete kit, i figured it was worth a shot.

After some research (i should have done this first) i found that the mysweety tb6600 4a 9-42v stepper motor driver cnc controller, stepper motor driver nema tb6600 single axes hybrid stepper motor for cnc was the way to go.

The stepper motors are nema23 which is basically a size designation.

The screw is a 1605, meaning that the shaft is 16mm in diameter and there is 5mm of travel per revolution.

If it takes 200 steps to complete one revolution, and there is 5mm of travel in one revolution, then it takes 40 steps to move 1 mm.
