    I did return it because it lays flat on the desk and i decided i wanted a charger that would also act as a phone stand so i could see the screen and interact with it while standing at an angle.

    When you place a phone on it (we have the galaxy 6s and several nexus 5 phones) it only blinks blue, but does not charge at all.

    First, it should be observed that wireless charging has not been perfected, and it is not as reliable as wired charging, and all wireless charging pads are not created equal.

    The problem is, of course, once you get used to wireless charging, you are spoiled and want all your phones to do it.
