If cord is reviously burnt with a flame then it wont fit the needle unless the burnt end is tapered

If you work with paracord very much you soon find out there are sometimes major differences in the size and density of the cord

I was using fake paracord which was bigger and couldnt be inserted into the needle unless it melted into it

I made the mistake of buying a cheaper multi pak of fids that even the largest was thicker than these fids but the insertion threads would not grab on 550 paracord unless it was carefully shaped into a fine point
