I dont know if there is a right or wrong way to wear them but based on the picture on the box and another picture of a customer wearing them it seems like the darker shade is supposed to be worn on the shins

The shape of the darker shaded side looks like an outline of a calf muscle so thats where it should go

I will warn you right now the first time putting these on were extremely difficult and removing them is even worse
