Pros

Instead of purchasing a real pricey xbox, buy this hard drive and a sata to usb3 adapter. I searched online and found a lot of people on psn forums saying to get this drive as a replacement.

Replaced a 500gb drive and got 1. Tb, as had been expected. Using two of these in home server in raid 1 pair. Would buy again if needed. At 2tb it has twice the capacity of the original.

Easy to install after watching some online instructions. Works like a champ. Enjoy your kid hogging the internet all the time.

Cons

The bad. This one is a cursed drive and you have been warned! They're about the same price. Don't but this piece of junk.

Hard drive. Crashed twice and finally died in three months. Lost all my data. Used to work for datum, now for samsung.

Reformatted and reinstalled os several times but had same problem for several days. Not good for ps4. Did not work on first generation ps4.

In the end the hdisk i received is a good value for the money and my son is thrilled to have 2tb of storage replacing the stock 500mb hdisk

Seagate is a decent hdisk brand its the required physical size and the price was right

We replaced a malfunctioning stock 500g hard drive with this

Even though theres quite a few horror stories in reviews here about poor packaging people receiving used hdisks etc
