    Though i see many good reviews of this mount, mine seemed to have come with stripped-out threads, and therefore, i can't use it as it was intended.

    I was going to use it to mount a cycliq fly12 (which has gopro style mounts, and can be placed upside-down on your bars) however, being that said camera/light/alarm (read my review on the fly12 page for further details) is quite expensive (like many gopro cameras [the least expensive one is $129.
