We had a turkey breast so we set it the thermometer to the turkey setting and we didnt open the oven door once

My only issue is that the screen has to be angled a certain way to really see the screen

With this thermometer i set the temperature i wanted and the alarm went of when the internal temperature was reached

The temperature did vary a couple of degrees but this would be normal depending on the calibration of the thermometer

With this thermometer you do have to disconnect the probe to change settings or to change it to timer mode

The display does go into a dim mode within a few seconds but this is likely to save on the batteries and the display is still legible as can be see in my video
