This is fab, i was at 1st a little annoyed that this ran on electricity as being disabled i like to keep costs down but so far i cannot see how it has used that much, it is only 5w so hardly anything at all.

The first delivery included a chime unit that didn't function.

However, give amazon their due - the returns process is excellent and they refunded the money almost immediately, whilst the unit was on its way back.

I ordered a second unit - which arrived promptly - and it worked fine.

The push button 'spoke' to the chime unit immediately and i knew i had a working product.

However, the button push doesn't seem to 'talk' to the chime unit if there is much brickwork and / or metalwork in between.

I had to place the chime unit closer to the front door than i had planned.

I could imagine a situation where the chime unit might need to be further away from the front door and might become 'blind' to the push button.
