My issue is that the magnets in it are so strong that if you align the wood perfectly, then try to carefully place the front piece in the same straight alignment, the magnets snap into eachother so fast and so strongly that the poster inevitably shifts and goes crooked.

Be careful, use a firm, steady hand to align the bars, and do not let it snap closed.

Of course, it is a larger than normal poster, so frames to accommodate it just don't exist.

The poster doesn't need to be the exact same size as the hanger.
