Pros & Cons
Pros
Easy to install with basic soldering skills. Adequate amount of solder and a tool for removing the needles. Liquid flux, desoldering wick, and alcohol are also needed.
Worked perfect. Works as advertised. Fits perfectly, works perfectly.
Saved a lot compared to sending the console out for a replacement. Bought the six motors based on the known failures of the chevy dashboards.
Cons
Kit only contains 4 bulbs for backlighting. My cluster requires 9 for the backlighting, 2 for the blinkers and 1 more indicator bulb. Had to take the whole gage cluster out a 3rd time and re-install one of the old good stepper motors.
Highlights
Quality
I am very happy with the results and it saved me a couple hundred dollars over having it done
Just have to be patient otherwise great value and product
The bulbs did too but anytime you are in this far with the display pulled out and disassembled replace all 11 bulbs
The needle removal tool that came with the kit breaks off the top of the needle
Shipping
Everything was like advertised works like new and fast shipping
Competitiveness
I would advise using a vacuum desoldering iron for taking the old motors out
Some liquid flux desoldering wick and alcohol are also needed for the job
