Better than the windshield mounts that obscure vision and fall off after a good run

The only reasons i dont give this mount 5stars is because of the tradeoff of using this kind of mount basically out of the manufacturers control

While i can play a cd with this mount installed i cant change tracks or do anything else with the cd when the mount is installed i can only listen to a cd straightthrough no other options

I did not use the adhesive backing on the metal plate i simply slid it in to the case and put it back on the phone iphone 7 and the magnet was sufficiently strong through the case

Overall pleased though depending on the positioning of your mount you can occlude the view of your radio backup camera etc

Its not a perfect way to mount your phone in the car because it obscures the screen in most radios but none of those mounts are perfect so if you dont mind not seeing the screen its a pretty decent product

Now i can use pandora and waze or google maps instead of the cars navigation which is fair at best
