Megnet is neither too strong nor too weak, perfect! The pieces look like metal and the weighting (with magnets) gives them a feel more like metal than plastic. It’s compact when folded, but you can still see the pieces/squares with clarity.
For infrequent travel use it seems pretty ok. Very well made and quick on the shipping. Affordable price and good quality product.
This is not just an awesome little travel set, but the algebraic markings make it great for propping up in bed at night and studying from the vast wealth of youtube tutorials. Its nice and portable.
The magnets are not very strong, either. The pieces should be molded with more shallow depressions for the magnets. The colors are practically indistinguishable! It does not work correctly--there is something wrong with the electronics.

The tasks are pretty funny at times, so even the two teenage boys and my husband got a kick out of playing. The three of us are 20-21 year olds and we couldn't stop laughing.
We love the electronic portion. You hear the drum beats and watch the words swirl in the globe.
The game is fun, with interactive cues, like “slither on the ground and knock over the timer with your nose. I wish the instructions were just a little clearer as well.
