The battery-powered push button box and its paired ac powered receiver can be installed at a fair distance apart. The sounder plugs right into the wall. Comes with battery and 2 sided adhesive tape.
Bought this for work its liud andnworks well, so many diffrent chimes. Works great for me. Heartily recommend. If there is any drawback it might be the chime selection.
Easy to install, just peel & stick it on. Pairing is a snap. All in all, easy peasy.

Adhesive seems good and the outer unit appears rock solid on our wood fence. The button generates power when pressed.
Item defective, no sound ever made by receiver unit. Ordered 2, both defective.
Seems that this doorbell wears down batteries quickly. In a few weeks the batteries are dead and the bell stops working. And when they go down, the bell rings constantly.
