The pieces are a bit small and extremely light, but the magnets on the bottom compensates for that. The stylus has a spot it clips in snuggly, so it won't get lost. The booklet explains it all wonderfully.
The system gives its response on the led screen in normal chess notation. You just need the chessboard with the pieces. Technology is fantastic!

This is the 2nd board i've purchased for my kiddos. This board is fun for both my child and i. My 3yr old loves the wooden wobble balance board. A huge hit for my 6 and 3 yo grandchildren.
Second flaw is that the board has already marks that doesn't come off. There is a serrated knife looking mark that's over 3 inches. Doesn't seem to have anywhere near a 200 lb weight limit.
