Pros and Cons

Pros5

The sound quality on this thing is actually amazing. No feedback, no noise. The sound signature is quite similar being warm and laid-back. It takes some working with the mic to find that right combination of settings and use.

This is another fantastic offering from vegue which continues to shake up the value market. I honestly think it sounds just as good as one you may pay $150+.

A short press mutes the microphone. The foam windscreen has a snug fit and does not want to fall off. The mute button is super practical and having the option to use usb if necessary is nice.

On the bottom of the microphone is a usb port, an xlr port, and a headphone port. It has a built-in usb-c preamp for simpler setups with onboard gain/monitor controls that works and sounds just fine. Over usb, there is a noticeable noise floor and the...  Read More

Comes with everything you need to get set up except a mic stand. Has tripod stand, isolation mount and wind screen included. Comes with a usb cable, a usb type c adapter, and an xlr cable.

Cons1

The mic feels solid but does not have the 24 bit 48 khz as listed. It also doesn't rotate 360, the box says 94 db snr but the amazon description says 95.

Pros3

The shure is a cardioid dynamic mic. If you aren't in a supremely sound proofed environment, say a bedroom you've done no sound dampening to, this is fantastic. Xlr connection is good, and it fits the holder it came with.

It's also indestructible. It is durable, and has superb sound. Sturdy and reliable.

If you are on a really tight budget, the sm48 is also a very good microphone. The sm58 is the gig/live/rehearsal mic of choice any day. It's a classic and there's a reason it's a standard in the industry.

Cons3

Why drive a pinto when you can drive a cadillac?

No real texture, doesn't grab you, very poor tradoesn't convey any feeling at all. They also feedback all too easily for a working band (high end feedback issues) horrible sound.

The sm58 is the most overrated mic ever made.
