These are really hold-open arms with a friction dampener. We usually associate soft close with an air- or spring- damped hinge. The hinge works perfectly for our needs.
Very disappointed. The quality looks good on the surface, until you have to install the plastic washers/spacers. Feel pretty cheap compared to how they are pictured. Like flimsy stamped metal mixed with plastic.
Instructions are nonexistent. The angles of the bracket insure poor alignment and something will dig into wood.
Falsely advertised as soft close but really just a lid support. Does not close soft, and the instructions are horrible.
No more loud slamming of the cabinet doors. Our hinges are new and are overlay type. Nice item to add slow close functionality to your cabinet doors for a lot less $ and hassle than changing out your hinges.
Installation is easy once you learned how to 'toe-screw' it to the hinge side horizontally. Very easy to install with cordless drill and bits. Worth the small price and installation effort.
It’s only been two weeks, but so far they work beautifully. The other 24 works brilliantly. I'd gladly buy more!
Blum dampers are too hard to align with just one screw. Disappointing and misleading.
The hydraulic mechanisms seems to leak so they go dead. These are not nickel plated with the matte finish as shown.
