The drawings are amazing. It is terse but at the same time adequately informative. The illustrations are high in quality. I like the drawings as they point out important markings. A good illustration is a good illustration.

Best birding book on the market. The text, illustrations, and maps are all very helpful to a budding birder like me. I love it it has pictures of the birds and the various phases and for the different sexes.

It is portable even with heavy spotting scope and tripod. Shows male and female feather patterns and juvenile and adult differences. Very handy when birdwatching.
