Good scope for the price seems well made. Pretty good for such a low priced scope. W would buy again from company and amazon.
A knob on the side adjusts the size and intensity of the red dot. It is kinda big, but since i do most of my shooting at ranges under 50 yards, no biggie. At longer ranges the 4 moa dot obscures the bulls eye a bit.
The brightness knob is a little stiff but loosens a little over time. The only problem i have is lack of magnification. Turning down the brightness helps a lot with that.
The savage rascal is the perfect sight for an 8-year-old's mini savage. Sighting it in was easy. Much improved my groups compared to iron sights.
Apparently, recoil from a. Lr is too much recoil for this sight to handle. The mounting system for it is pretty flimsy and stripped out easily. The dimming knob is very, very stiff to turn.
I prefer a blacked out rear and a big dot in the front for closer range work. Point of aim and point of impact are the same at 10 meters. I use a caliper to make sure it is centered.
As a certified glock fanboy i am sure i will get a slimline as funds allow. This sight meets my needs and is a high quality replacement.
Installation is very straight you'll need the appropriate wrench for the front sight, clean it and the screw well, and install with red thread locker.
Just got these a week ago and will be heading out to the range tomorrow to try them out. They are just that impressive! These are some outstanding sights for the money!
I carry her g42 occasionally and i felt the sharp edges in my side aka love handles. They work fine, but hang over the back of the slide an uncomfortable amount.
The sight picture is great while the orange is there, but durability is *. Ameriglo has a amazon disclaimer on their site which was alarming.
