It has a diameter of 5 3/4. Comes in real handy when i make sauces, steam veggies and cook a small batch of pasta. It's big enough that you can make a sauce or gravy from scratch.
It's a little taller and narrower than my standard ss saucepan so it takes less oil to fill to a given depth. Love the thickness of the stainless steel. The pot is still shiny like new after few months of using it.

Omg this does that and so much more! Foolproof and easy to use. The only downside is that it gets a little ugly after using it for awhile.
While not as heavyweight as. My all-clad stainless, this is surprisingly hefty. The handle is curved down instead of sticking out, making it much less accident prone.
