It holds up very well with leakproof, dogs nails, and laundering. We trim our cat's nails, but they are able to play on top of this without snagging or piercing it.

This blanket is the softest blanket ever! If looking for thesoftest white throw that washes without looking like its been washed, this is it! I use this as a throw for on top of our quilt and it is perfect. Oh mygoodlord the softness.
