The device blinks and then pairs easily. Brightness is good - there are two modes - sunlight and grow. Varied brightness w/a timer and has an app.

The app allows for customizability that you wouldn't get with a controller. Once set up, it does all the fun stuff on its own day to day.

The light itself is basic with a power button and light dimmer switch. The dimmerswitch has two levels of light, that's not what the description says.

Ppfd is recommended for flowering. It produces good light that helps them sprout and then build into nice strong plants. I also have zucchini that is full of blooms.

Others are on tripods and * attached to the plant stands. For the top of the cabinet, magnetic hooks work great, but for the lower shelf i used the wire /hook option it came with but had to cut part of it to rig it.

It has a dimmer switch on the cord. I like that it can be dimmed as i can dim it while the plants are young and then increase the light as they need it.

The light provides light and heat for my indoor pants. Not too much heat, perfect for 2x2 tent. Heat/warmth from the light is virtually no issue at all.

The bare aluminum back helpfully says do not touch when in operation. Put the unit down to inspect. There is perhaps a chance that i received a unit that was defective and shorting out.
