The timer function works great, it's really bright and puts off the perfect amount of heat. The light is just a tiny bit brighter when plugged in. I have mine set for 6 hours and use the blue and violet lights.

The poles are flexible but sturdy enough to maintain the position i’ve put them in. The timer is perfect and even though the light is heavier than i thought (very sturdy), the clip easily holds it up on my mantle.
