Pros and Cons
Pros5

The monkey part the kids seem to enjoy, although it really did not seem to make them sink much faster. Even though it's not perfect, my son enjoys it. It’s a fun game that can be enjoyed by the entire family, including the youngest ones. Heck my 5 yea...  Read More

Set up is relatively easy, but takes a minute to set the stage and add the crossbars and then the quicksand as the topping. Only minor complaint is that the designs don't necessarily press into the sand legibly, which makes the initial setup at the st...  Read More

Once the whole apparatus is together, it feels pretty sturdy. Worth the cost, in my opinion.

The game incorporates kinetic sand. It has a similar play to the classic kerplunk game, but is actually a bit more interesting because of the unknown factor of not being able to see what is going on underneath the kinetic sand.

Players take turns pulling out colored sticks kerplunk style until pieces start dropping through the sand. The roll of the dice gives it some randomness, but there is also a bit of strategy in choosing which stick to pull.

What is the incentive for a player to play? If they do a great job, the game keeps moving but that effort is not rewarded in any way. A quick sample of the top ten suspiciously positive reviews of this game reveal that everyone abandons the scoring sy...  Read More
