This is higher wattage for a bigger tank. The main body is titanium because it seems they hold up the best. The displayed temperature is within 1 degree as verified by my calibrated thermometer.
Since they're so cheap, i keep a few spares as backups. The compact size is great! The power cord is plenty long enough as well. Just plug and play, no mess and no worries.
The water temp never strays too far away from the goal temp of 78-80f. The preset temp is a plus! It is preset and is accurate. Temp holds between 76-78 degrees per a zacro digital thermometer.
Small, yet strong enough for up to a 20 gallon aquarium. My formula for heaters is usually 5-7 watts per gallon of water, so for my tank, i would usually go with a 200 watt heater.
Water temperate is consistently around 78 degrees f, where my platies and angelfish like it. The temp on this cannot be adjusted, but maintains an ideal temp for tropical aquariums.
After the first day it's never reached a heated temp at all. This is supposedly preset to maintain 78 degrees yet constantly keeps it at 75 degrees.
