Shure sm-58 is designed for vocals. Recommended for microphone cords 50' (15. M) or longer. If your microphone cord needs to be longer go with the sm58 so not to lose signal. Zero regrets choosing the sm48.
The sound is still a little boxy and usable directly. My recommendation would be to fine tune your recording with some sort of eq processing app afterwards.
Shure always makes a good product. Wasn't disappointed. Great quality, surprising. Impressed for the money.
There's a reason it's discounted. It's too soft. Several things didn't meet my expectations. Not sure why. Just don't buy.
