Pros and Cons
Pros2

The sound is still a little boxy and usable directly. My recommendation would be to fine tune your recording with some sort of eq processing app afterwards.

Shure always makes a good product. Wasn't disappointed. Great quality, surprising. Impressed for the money.

Cons2

There's a reason it's discounted. It's too soft. Several things didn't meet my expectations. Not sure why. Just don't buy.

I wasn't expecting the quality of a condenser studio mike, however this quality is just unbearable. The trrs jack prevents regular trs style inputs from actually using it. On top of this, it ruins your ability to monitor anything with headphone or iem...  Read More

Pros5

If you’re a beginner and you don’t know much about microphones, this is a great little setup. Super-easy to use and picks up great vocal tones. High recommend - use for zoom calls and virtual presentations.

An absolutely incredible microphone. Anything touching anything. Me, i just care about whether it delivers the performance i need/expect, and it has.

Akg lyra is a great microphone for a good price. The gain knob is the best part of the mic. The headphone jack is a nice addition to the headphone.

It is really just plug & play, but it also comes with a free copy of ableton lite. It works fine with both mac and windows and is truly plug and play.

Much better than some * webcam mic. If you need a great mic and don't want to have to use a secondary audio converter, the lyra is one of the best.

Cons3

The mute button is just a fail. It is not plug and play with the iphone. The volume control knob doesn't control the headphone volume. The front audio control is pretty much also unusable.

In precisely the same configurations, neither of those suffers from this problem. It produces sharp metal noise when recording singing or any loud sound. This makes it hard for adjustments. Not usable if actually recording or doing a webinar.

This particular whining sound comes and goes. My guess is that there's circuitry that's waking up upon audio playback or other activities. In all 4 cases the whining sound is present.
