You have to have your mouth literally against the mic for it to pick anything up. I'm returning it because it did not have the right plug. Do not recommend.
The voice reproduction is great. The sound quality is excellent. The rest of the mic is fantastic.
The sm58 lc is a solid mic. I have bought the pga48 for podcasting guests and in comparison, the sm58 is much warmer.
They are tough, consistant, and reliable. The bundle is the best bang for the buck.
Shure sm58 is an overrated mic. The cable is low quality too and adds noise to recordings. I have to use all of my gain on my focusrite scarlet solo (3rd gen) and that causes a lot of noise in my recording.
Like the mcdonald's burger, billions of these mics have been sold. Now i understand why everybody uses them because that was a mystery to me, was as useless to them, as to me.
