The piece on the bottom that sticks out helps keep the gap covers situated inbetween the stove and the counter. Our stove fits fairly tight between the cabinets. They do just as described and prevent food from falling through the cracks.

Good for cleaning, its not gonna hurt you like scratch or cut as material is soft. Easy to keep clean, i just wipe with soap and water and they are back to new again.

Theses are very wide and not inconspicuous. Material is okay but the thickness is not, very flimsy. They don't stay in place, crumbs and grease gets all over and under them when cooking.

Easy fastener. Easy to install. Amp; felt durable.

I live in an area with high winds and this didn't budge during a recent storm. Not using as an air conditioner cover, but as a cover to protect my electric pottery kiln. Is preventing the snow, rain, and other elements from entering the unit.
