The shade wire is white, while the lamp base is black and the piece that holds the base and shade together is gold. I have to try multiply times for it to work. Not grey as described in the product description.

After searching stores as well as online, i want to invite all the neighbors to see how wonderful these lamps look on either side of our bed. Bought for living room but using them in bedroom. And they come with bulbs!
