The theme makes the game. My kids love the theme, they are big fans of clone wars and are very happy to have some clone wars villains to play with. The art deco character pieces are pretty neat.
The game is very fun and engaging. It plays very similar to the original disney incarnation but it feels more streamlined to let newcomers enjoy it. Overall it's a fun way to play a bad guy and thwart your fellow bad guys.

Each faction has it's own deck of civ buildings. There is a civ deck you will draw from (unique to your civ) and a public deck that you can use. This means you need different strategies to play different civs.
Game has a multiplier for limited resources but it is not as good as a real fleshy pink meeple. This streamlined version keeps the same mechanics at its heart but make the strategy and play more accessible for me.
