Mercury silver to me is slightly transparent. These are they are silver. What really fries me is that apparently i have to pay for returning them! Shame on me.

The design is sleek and modern, and the lamp provides plenty of light. Works like it should. Also, it's modern and minimalistic. It's stylish, no physical assembly required and good value.

The brightness is great and the color change options are innumerable. There are truly thousands of colors and multiple brightnesses that can adjust for reading or just chillin.

Ours goes on at 8:15p every night at a dim purple glow. I keep mine on a light blue color sitting near to my desk on 60-ish% and it's plenty of light for my late nights on the computer. This gradual setting is nice.
