Parents can add a primary contact that can call the watch even when its in do not disturb mode. Would definitely recommend this watch for a child looking for independence.

The app is great for setting up reminder and daily goals. The voice calls are crisp and the dnd mode is very customizable.

It hits the sweet spot of features vs. Functionality. It removes my worry of my kids surfing the internet, etc.

The tic talk 4 is very well made and he is able to use it without frustration. I'm a software developer (videogames) so i know the importance of guiding a person through complex setups.

It gives him increased independence without the pitfalls of a cell phone. It tracks his steps too, which is motivating.

We are stuck after 1 day of use with no way to recharge the watch.

Call volume is so low it's unusable. This is not due to the wifi, as other devices connect just fine. I have a feeling it's due to it defaulting to using wifi for location. Couldnt use it to reliably track location in any way.

Shortly after resetting it loses the signal again. Contacted customer service to return and asked for a refund. Seems about the time my return window ended they stopped replying to support email.
