This is smaller than your phone and far less breakable if dropped in the dark. Tiny enough to tuck in a bedside drawer or on a key fob for easy access during an emergency. Perfect for when you need some light in a pinch.
The build quality is quite good, and i have no doubt it is durable. The copper finish is very nice. Even the twist motion is fairly smooth, not very gritty.

Both are durable, water resistant/proof and super small and have decent battery life. Even better is the ability to usb charge it without buying batteries.
This a1x sports a cree xp-g3 emitter, powered by a 330mah rechargeable battery.
Super bright but battery life is not really that good. Power button is flimsy and did not last two dog walk uses. Only lasts 100 seconds before it steps down to 100 lumens.
Really bad design. Should have stayed with maglite. Buyer be warned. I now have to press it half a dozen times or more before i can ever get it to stay on without continual pressing of the button.
