The importance of this is hard to overstate. This 2021 version is updated with sly govenor switches to keep it from overheating.

This is the best spice grinder i've ever used. Everything grinds beautifully and fast with just a few taps on the top. One is also used to grind coffee.

After just a few uses, can no longer detach cup from base for a thorough wash. The blade is not locked air tight onto the base, so my spice leaks everywhere.

Did not expect this from cuisinart. Looking for another brand.

When a product breaks shortly after the warranty expires, i take that as a sign of a lack of ethics in manufacturing care at the company of origin. The product warranty is for a year.
